Bring your dog, sip some wine and help out local pet rescues at the 11th annual Dogtoberfest: Dogs, Dine and Wine Pet Expo. The event, which brings together pet rescue organizations from around the Lowcountry, returns to Freshfields Village near Kiawah Island on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 1-5 p.m. 

In addition to meet-and-greets with local rescue groups and the annual wine tasting, this free event include:

• Craft Beer and Delicious Food
• Live entertainment
• On-site vendors
• Pet costume contest at 3 p.m.
• Blessing of the animals
• A commemorative wine glass
• Exciting prizes and giveaways, and more!

Proceeds from Dogtoberfest benefit the participating pet rescue organizations, including: Shih Tzus and Furbabies, Grateful Goldens Rescue, Greyhound Pets of America - Charleston, Carolina Coonhound Rescue, Water’s Edge Animal Rescue, Lowcountry Lab Rescue and King Charles Cavalier Spaniel Rescue.
