Wonder Works Adopts Pet Helpers!
Christine Osborne, owner of Wonder Works in Mt. Pleasant, SC and West Ashley, SC, announced today that the company was able to donate 250 pet food cans as well as aid in the adoption of eight animals. Wonder Works adopted Pet Helpers throughout the month of March to raise adoption awareness and collect food for animals in need. During the month of March, the community was encouraged to bring in a can of pet food to any Wonder Works location as a donation to Pet Helpers to receive a store discount. The popular toy store also hosted an event on Saturday, March 19th, 2011 at Wonder Works located at 624D Long Point Road in Mt. Pleasant, SC for customers to meet Calico Critters’ Mrs. Fisher Cat as a part of the Pet Helper’s effort. During the event on March 19th, three puppies were adopted from Pet Helpers.
During the month of March 2011 Wonder Works collected food donations and featured cats and dogs for adoption on facebook, in weekly eblasts and with in-store promotions. Five of the adoption spotlight animals were adopted. On Saturday, March 19th the Calico Critters’ mascot, Mrs. Fisher Cat, visited Wonder Works in Mt. Pleasant. Calico Critters of Cloverleaf Corners is a classic line of miniature animal families, play sets and accessories. Pet Helpers attended the event with puppies for adoption; three were adopted during the event on Saturday.
Osborne said, “We are thrilled with the success of the Pet Helpers adoption! Our customers adopted eight animals and our hearts were filled with joy! To think these lovable cats and dogs now have loving homes is beyond words. We can’t wait to adopt Pet Helpers again!”

It is extremely important to Pet Helpers to nurture these close ties to the community and we look forward to working with Wonder Works in the future.”
