TLC T-Hunter Scholarship Program

The Learning Canine has launched the T-Hunter Scholarship Program! This program is designed to help rescues and shelters improve their adoption rates because dogs with manners and basic obedience skills are highly adoptable!

Full scholarship awarded to one foster dog, from any SPCA or rescue group, per 7 week session. And all dogs recently adopted from a rescue or shelter receive 15% off Group Study Sessions. Or choose a Private Tutoring Session for $25 ($85 value).

Group Study locations include Dolittles, Spoil 'Em Rotten and Azalea Park in Summerville; Preppy Pets in Ladson, and Camp Bow Wow on Daniel Island. Classes include Obedience 101, Intermediate/Advanced Obedience, Lucky Dog U, or Canine Good Citizen training.

Full Scholarship Eligibility: This program is for foster parents who want to learn how to teach their foster dog, and are eager to learn more about being a responsible dog owner/foster parent. Students must be willing to practice and do their homework in between classes.  Please contact Kristie at thelearningcanine@gmail.com to apply.

Rescue and Shelter Discounted Program: If you have recently adopted your dog from a shelter or rescue you are eligible for a discount on TLC training services. Gather all your adoption paperwork, and email Kristie at thelearningcanine@gmail.com

The Inspiration: T-Hunter is a 'foundhound' with Charleston Greyhound. He is not a Greyhound, but CG could not leave this boy out in the cold. Hunter was the inspiration of the TLC Scholarship program and the first to receive a Full Scholarship with TLC! Working with Hunter encouraged Kristie to help more foster and adopted dogs!  Kristie Allen is a Certified Professional Positive Dog Trainer and is owner, director and head trainer of  The Learning Canine
