Meet A Lowcountry Dog: Westbrook & Macklin

Westbrook is a 2.5 year old Border Collie & Black Lab mix and Macklin is a Border Collie and just over 1 year old. Macklin and Westbrook make everything memorable with all of the crazy things they do.

Both boys love to come to the barn with me and "help" me with the horses. Macklin loves to herd the horses (and anything else that moves)! Westbrook enjoys getting as dirty as possible and finding any water to swim in. The beach and dog parks are also a favorite for them, especially when they get to make new friends!

Westbrook is quiet and protective. He concerns himself with who is in and around the house and will let me know if something is wrong. He is always quietly by my side, and will put himself between me and a stranger if he senses trouble. Macklin is crazy, but the most loving dog in the world. He is a true "mama's boy", and is happiest when he can be sitting in my lap giving kisses. Maybe someday we will break the news that he isn't a lap dog...

My dogs mean the world to me, and are always there to brighten my day. They never get upset with me, don't mind my cooking, and always love to snuggle, making them the perfect boys!
