Meet a Lowcountry Dog: Taylor Made & Callaway

Taylor Made and Callaway are my two blue merle collies. Taylor is a girl and Callaway is all boy. Both dogs are 3 1/2 years old; they are only 1 week different in age. They are completely different in personality, though.

Taylor is a type A go getter. She loves playing frisbee and tackling Callaway (he is 28# heavier than her) Callaway is a laid back kind of guy. When he and Taylor were younger and Taylor wanted to play tug, he would lead her out to the kitchen, lay down and let her tug him around the floor.

Both dogs enjoy running, playing, hiking and dog parks. Callaway is the unofficial dog park referee-- he throws himself inbetween any dogs that are arguing or playing too rough. Both dogs love to learn new behaviors. Every moment I spend with them is memorable; I learn from them every day.

They have changed my life because four years ago my first collie passed away after 15 years together. She inspired me to learn a more peaceful, productive way of training. Taylor Made and Callaway have learned so much, and so well, that I was inspired to begin a dog training business.
