Meet a Lowcountry Dog: Maggie

Maggie is a 7-year-old Lab mix. One of my favorite memories is of a baby Maggie escaping from the den, where she was allowed and running through the house and up the stairs right in to my room (where she had never been), jumping on the bed and laying down on a pillow that said “Princess”.

Maggie’s favorite activity is definitely sleeping. I am pretty sure she sleeps at least 20 hours a day. Maggie LOVES chasing squirrels. She also LOVES going to Sullivan’s Island and playing with her brother, Jack. She likes to tan and she LOVES to be petted!

Maggie is the sweetest dog that I have ever met! She is always trying to tell you that she loves you-whether she is licking, cuddling or wagging her crazy tail! Maggie has changed my life in many good ways. She was adopted when she was just a baby. Adopting her has led me to find out more information on homeless pets and what can be done to help them. I just cannot believe that anyone would give up a sweet face like hers!

Yay Maggie! Also would like to give credit that this first photograph was taken by a friend, Amelia Phillips Hale of Dreamland Images.

Oh we didn't know the photo was taken by a professional. Happy to add a credit up there. Doing that now!

Double whoops -- we actually did know, and had the photo appropriately credited, but a glitch in the system kept the credit from showing up. It should be showing now, let us know if it's not!
