Meet a Lowcountry Dog: Charlie

Charlie's full name is Charles River Block. He's named after the very famous Charles River in our hometown of Boston, MA! We call him Charlie River Dog, which is funny because the mascot of the Charleston RiverDogs is a dog named Charlie, too!

Charlie is 100% BOY. He just turned 1 on June 20th! Charlie is a full bread Cairn Terrier. He is a sneaky little guy. We recently discovered his "lair" under our bed where he hides his toys, our socks, and even a copy of "The Bro Code," a book from our favorite TV show How I Met Your Mother. Charlie is the man of the house while his Dad, a Submarine Officer in the US Navy, is away. He takes this role very very seriously.

Charlie absolutely LOVES his "chewies" (rawhides & kong toy) and he is incredibly social. While other dogs are running around chasing a ball, Charlie is chasing THEM! People also always comment on how "expressive" he is... you can seriously tell what he's thinking just by looking into his eyes!

Charlie is a big LOVE. He's energetic and playful but knows how to make your heart melt with a good snuggle. Charlie made us a family. He is our first "baby" and we love him more than we ever thought we could.
