Meet a Lowcountry Dog: Abby & Joy

My two names are Joy and Abby. Joy is a black Lab mix and Abby is a chocolate Lab. Joy is 4 years old this week. Abby will be 22 months this coming week.

How can they not change my life! Being single they are the center of all things in my life. Having the love and trust of Joy is like nothing else. I consider them to be my children. There is nothing I wouldn't or couldn't do for them.

My most memorable moment with Joy was the day I found her 4 years ago covered with cigarette burns and almost frozen under my truck. A memorable time with Abby was the day after she was born when I chose her and then the day I brought her home.

Abby and Joy love to swim, run and chase each other. They also enjoy cuddling up with me. They will fetch anything and love playing tug of war to see who will get to bring the toy back to me. Joy is over-the-top and happy beyond expression. She is wound up 24/7 and always aware of everything. Abby on the other hand is quiet and lady-like (most of the time). She is happy, loving, and likes to follow me where ever I go.
