July Contest: Free Week of Dog Running/Walking

UPDATE: THE WINNER IS EMILY! Congrats to Emily and her family of dogs! They just won a week of dog walking/running!

Remember, just for entering the contest you all will receive 10% off any DOGSTAR Pet Care service. So consider them for your dog walking/running and pet sitting needs!

Thanks DOGSTAR!

Wondering how things were tallied? I counted comments only. I counted the comments on the page here on lowcountrydog.com first scrolling from the top of the page to the bottom. I then count the comments on the DOGSTAR facebook page, again, scrolling from top to bottom. And lastly, I count the comments top to bottom on the Lowcountry Dog facebook page. There were 22 comments. I used random.org to generate a random number. The number was lucky #13! Emily was the 13th comment, once again proving it's always smart to enter all three times. It was her comment on the DOGSTAR page that was #13!

Remember the awesome (and dare I say, cute) guys from DOGSTAR Dog Running and Pet Care who entered the 5K with the adoptable dog from Pet Helpers to raise awareness for shelter pets? No? Click HERE.

Well Nick and and Brett are now offering LCD readers a fantastic contest this month. One lucky winner will receive an entire week of 30 minute walks or runs totally free. ($85-$90 value.) What a great way to get your pooch some exercise and mental stimulation or even to jump start some weight loss!

And get this, just by entering the contest you are entitled to 10% off DOGSTAR Pet Care services. So you win no matter what!

It's super easy to enter the contest and there's three ways to win. Here's how:

1. Leave a comment on this page about why your dog needs a week of walks/runs with DOGSTAR. *note: an email address is required, but will not be shown or shared. It's just our way of getting ahold of you if you win.

2. For a 2nd entry "like" our Facebook page HERE and leave a comment about the DOGSTAR Giveaway.

3. For a 3rd entry, "like" the DOGSTAR Facebook page HERE and leave a comment about the DOGSTAR Giveaway.

Remember, we tally up the number of comments from all three places and use random.org to choose a winner. So increase your chances of winning by commenting three times!

Contest closes at 5pm EST on Thursday, July 22nd.

Learn more about DOGSTAR HERE.

*during these hot days, it's important to exercise your dogs in the coolest hours and to either supervise yourself, or have a pet professional like DOGSTAR monitor them during the entire walk.

Walks/runs must be within one week (M-F) and must be scheduled by Sept 30th.

So can he walk and run all of my dogs? I have 4 out of the 7 dogs in rescue at my house and I don't know who needs it most!! Guess I will have to choose...or maybe let him take a different dog everyday! Oh how I would love to have someone work some energy outa those hounds!

We have a wonderful Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Pixie) who needs these walks because as much of a dream as she is to walk, I have too many children to fit into a jogging stroller. lol. "Nanny Dog" needs a moms morning out.

I went back to work full time and both my dogs hate it. (I'm not too thrilled either but somebody's gotta buy the kibble!) The beagle still needs to loose a few pounds and the greyhound/pitt mix needs to run. Not sure who needs the exercise worse...

My Bella Boo would love to win runs!!!! She is very friendly and LOVES to run at the dog park!! Unfortunately, she was adopted by someone who only runs if she is being chased!

I just don't believe that a human is capable of wearing out my Dalmatian and Doberman. Prove me wrong :-)

Two Chihuahuas - need training - exercise. Challenge: getting them to trust you, not impossible but improbable. Then again, they could use the experience.

Otis the wonder dog needs a week of walking/running because a tired Jack Russell terrier is GOOD Jack Russell terrier.

Fenway is our 1 year old German Shorthaired Pointer and he loves to run!

My husband and I both work all day,
and Fenway would be with us if he had his way.
Unfortunately our offices both say nay,
which means home is where Fenway, alone, must stay.

So in his crate or the yard he must lay.
But what about a visit from DOGSTAR, you say?
And my people won't even have to pay?
Fenway says "enter this contest, without delay"!
WOOF WOOF!

What a wonderful contest. I have 5 dogs of various sizes, and they would LOVE to have someone come in the middle of the day and take them for a nice long run. My little rat terrier mix has SO MUCH energy :)

We are due to have our first baby, Kai, anyday. It would be such a huge help if we won this contest for our 2 yr. old Rottweiler, Bertha. Her life is about to change in so many ways, a few walks will help out so much while we recover and adjust to this new lifestyle!!

Well we had a baby girl last year and our blonde lab Bella went from two walks a day and lake swimming to maybe a quick run to the mailbox. She's such a sweet and surprisingly calm 3 year old. She truly deserves a week of running because she has gained weight but also because she's the sweetest to our child. Thank you for considering!
