Foster Fridays: Wakko
Hey! I'm Wakko!
I am a 4-month-old Pitt Bull Mix! I’m a young boy, but I’m growing up fast! My favorite thing about myself is my under bite. I think it gives me character.
Even though I’m young, I’m not too wacko like other puppies (despite what my name may imply). I really like to snuggle, and even though my foster mom says that I’ll be too big some day, people’s laps are my favorite place to sit.
I still have a lot to learn about this big world:
This is the first of one of these kitchen things I’ve ever seen, so I’m still not sure how to act in one. Something about “table manners” and “no jumping”. I’ll get it soon; I’m a fast learner! When I got to my foster home, I wasn’t sure about this whole leash thing. But I watched my foster sister, and within just a few days, I was walking right along with her! Other dogs sometimes overwhelm me, but I have warmed up to my foster brother and sister really well! It just took a few days.
There isn’t much that bothers me. I’m very tolerant! I just don’t like really loud noises; they scare me and make me stop right in my tracks and lay down. But other than that I’ll do just about whatever you want me to. If you’re in the mood to run and play, I’ll run with you! If you’re tired or just are having a rough day, I will run up to you with a wagging tail and a smile in my heart. I will give you a warm hug and kiss and lay with you. I’m a happy pup, and I am usually content with doing whatever it is that makes you happy!
My foster mom tells me that the reason I haven’t found a home yet is because I don’t deserve just any family. She says that there is a very special dog-mommy or dog-daddy out there, who has a big heart, just like the super sized one I’ve got! She tells me that they will love me so much and give me the most wonderful life I could imagine, because I deserve it. She thinks I’m a really special boy, and she always says that while she hopes I find my family soon, she’s really going to miss me.
You can come meet me at Pet Helpers on Folly Rd!
I’m trying my very best to be brave like my foster mom tells me to, but it’s really hard sometimes. I hope I find a home really soon. It’s pretty scary not knowing when I’ll finally have a forever family to love me. And I just have so much love to give in return. I’m having fun here in my foster home, but I have to go back to the shelter soon. So, new family, if you’re out there, I’m ready for you to take me home now!
