Foster Fridays: Connie

Hi there! My name is Connie and I am a female Basset Hound. I am 5 years old and have been with my foster mom for 4 months now. I am housebroken and I major in being sweet and gentle. I am fantastic with cats, dogs and children. I currently life with 4 other fosters and I am great! I came into rescue after finding myself in a shelter with pelvic injuries due to being hit by a car. I have since recovered so well from my injuries that I can outrun the resident 4 year old!

My personality is very low key but I will come up and command your attention with my stare. Because I am on the quieter side, I would be great in a home with a senior who is looking for an adoring companion. I would love to dance my little jig to show you that I am happy.

If you think we'd be a great pair, please contact the good people at Carolina Basset Hound Rescue. I can't wait to meet you!

I decided to start fostering after seeing a desperate plea for foster homes on I decided to give it a shot and immediately became very passionate about helping this organization."
