O'Brion's Yappy Hour

Checking Out Yappy Hour

This past Thursday I had the opportunity to check out one of the weekly Yappy Hours at O'Brion's Pub on Folly Road in support of Pet Helpers and I was not disappointed! I got to meet three cool pups who were looking for homes (see pictures). The volunteers from Pet Helpers had brought along Willy, Phillip and Parker -- unfortunately no new ladies for me to meet. Willy and I seemed to get along pretty well, we were both trying to beat the heat on the same grassy shade spot.

The Pet Helpers folks talked to some people who were interested in fostering and one lady who wanted to volunteer to help. They told us they had a couple adoptions come from these weekly Yappy Hours, so that's awesome. One guy came through and my new bud Willy caught his attention, he laughed and said he might have to drink extra to forget about Willy. It seemed like a really great way for people to find out about Pet Helpers and enjoy some good food.

The food that I got to try was pretty darn great. I had some of the chips from Dad's fish and chips and a mom snuck me a bite of her roast beef. Plus it was cool drinking water out of the beer bucket.   I heard some discussion about paper plates and inspections, but I'm just really happy to get to go along with mom and dad to dog friendly establishments like O'Brion's.   Our waitress was really nice and told us that my kind was welcome any day of the week.

Since we were in the area, we capped off the evening at James Island County Park where we had a fun time swimming.  Then I think I slept all the way home; now that's a good time.

Next Pet Helpers Yappy Hour at OBrion's is Thursday starting at 4:00pm

This is a wonderful blog dedicated for dog lovers and their pet. By the way, the dogs in that photo are gorgeous, now I am dreaming to have one. But anyhow, I love the idea of fostering dogs without any owner.
