August Contest: Limited Edition Fine Art Stationary

UPDATE: The winner is Cynthia D. Alexander -Garrett, who commented on Facebook that she still writes thank you notes and would love the cards!

I recently read that email is becoming the new norm for sending thank you notes. While email, texting, instant messenger and social networks like Facebook make it easier than ever to stay connected and to communicate with our friends and family, there's still something wonderful about getting a handwritten note. Something special that technology will never be able to replace. Maybe it's the excitement of getting something physical in the mail. Or it's being able to see the personality in a friend's handwriting, or to revel in the beautiful design and the feel of the paper of a letterpress card.

For me, getting a handwritten note now is even more special than it was in the days before email became part of acceptable correspondence etiquette. It means someone took the time to sit down away from the computer, their smart phone and their DVR,  to find the paper and pen buried somewhere in a seldom used stationary drawer. In the hurried, fast paced culture which has made email and texting the norm for communication, a handwritten note means I was special enough to be given my friend's time --  a precious gift that makes me feel loved and wanted.

If you are like me and love to send and receive handwritten notes, this contest is for you! Artist Mary Charles Churchill-Nash has graciously given us a set of her limited edition stationary sets featuring an absolutely breathtakingly beautiful Golden puppy running through a field of flowers. Who do you know who would love to receive a note from you on such an adorable, unique card? Wouldn't it just make their day?

It's super easy to enter the contest and there's three ways to win. Here's how:

1. Leave a comment on this page about why you'd like to win this stationary set. *note: an email address is required, but will not be shown or shared. It's just our way of getting ahold of you if you win.

2. For a 2nd entry "like" our Facebook page HERE and leave a comment about the STATIONARY Giveaway.

3. For a 3rd entry, become a friend the Churchill-Nash Facebook page HERE and leave a comment about the STATIONARY Giveaway.

Remember, we tally up the number of comments from all three places and use random.org to choose a winner. So increase your chances of winning by commenting three times!

Contest closes at 5pm EST on Friday August 27th 2010.

I'd like to win some nice stationary! I have recently become "pen pals" with my Aunt Debby that lives in TN - one of the only people I know that doesn't have email or internet (on purpose, even!) She would love these cards. :)

I would love to have these, they are adorable! But, after reading the comments....I vote these notes go the Golden Rescue who already commented on this page!

I'd like to give this lovely note card pack to my wife who loves to write notes to people and is always searching for out of the ordinary beautiful cards. M-C-C-N, the girl with too many names, is fabulous.
I love her work , her portraits of peoples horses and dogs is inspiring.

I like the way Meegan thinks. I too followed the link to write about how much I'd love to win these beautiful cards, but think the LowCountry Goldens are much more deserving! I know it's a random drawing, but maybe my entries can count for them!
