Animal Rescue & Relief Adoptable Dogs

It's Adoptable Dog Friday! Animal Rescue & Relief Inc. is being featured this week and there are some great dogs available that would love to find their forever homes. If you would like more information on beginning the adoption process or if you would like to sponsor or foster one of these precious dogs, click HERE.

1. Greta

  • Greta is a 2-3 yr old black/white Female Boxer Mix. She is a very quiet and sweet girl. Greta is in a foster home with a smaller dog and a child. She is doing great! She is now able to run loose when no one is home. She doesn't have accidents and doesn't chew! Greta is very easy going and just wants to be loved. Part of a neglect case. Will be ready for adoption soon. Accepting applications.

2. Bear

  • Part of Abandonment Case. Will be going to trial soon! Kangal Dog/ Anatolian Shepherd (80lbs) Bear was abandoned along with 2 other dogs. The owner moved leaving them to fend for themselves. All 3 dogs(Bear, Scrappy & Tex) are incredibly sweet!!

3. Pedro

  • Pedro may be a senior but he still has plenty of spunk left! He is a tiny man that loves well behaved children. Another one of Pedro's perks is that he is potty trained! We rarely ever come across a Chihuahua (especially a male) that is house trained. Pedro is the best of both worlds. Tiny and cute like a puppy but without the chewing and accidents.

4. Scrappy

  • Part of an Abandonment Case. Going to Trial Soon!! Scrappy was abandoned along with 2 other dogs. The owner moved leaving them to fend for themselves. Scrappy does well with other dogs and loves people. All 3 dogs(Scrappy,Tex & Bear) are incredibly sweet!! Picture #1 is the most recent.

5. Tex

  • Part of Abandonment Case. Will be going to trial soon! Tex was abandoned along with 2 other dogs. The owner moved leaving them to fend for themselves. Tex does well with other dogs and loves people. All 3 dogs(Tex, Bear & Scrappy) are incredibly sweet!!

6. Brewster

  • Brewster is approx. 6.5 months old. He is not a large dog by any means and is a typical puppy. Brewster can distinguish the difference between a child and adult. He tends to be very well behaved. Brewster is a special little guy! He was about 2 weeks old when he came into rescue. Brewster is now eating hard food.

7. Little Osa Little

8. Winston

  • 2 Year old English Mastiff. Winston is good with other dogs and ignores cats. Even though he has done fine with children, he is a very large dog and is likely to accidentally knock over small children. We continuously stress that children have to be supervised around any animal. Winston has to have a fenced in backyard! We also require that he has professional training when adopted.

9. Mystery

  • Solid White, very sweet Dog. Needs some basic obedience training. Just wants to be loved. Please email us for an application or go to our homepage and copy our application into a word document. Feel free to email it to arrinc@yahoo.com

10. Penelope

  • My name is Penelope. The vet estimates that I'm around 4.5yrs old. I'm a sweet girl. I was a stray found in bad shape. I'm healthy now and I'm ready to find my very own family! Please email us for an application or go to our homepage and copy the application into a word document. Feel free to email it to arrinc@yahoo.com

11. Lucky

  • Rescued from high kill shelter. Was in gas chamber room to be euthanized. Note his name "LUCKY" Extremely Lucky!! Update: 5/25/2010 Lucky was neutered last week. He tested low positive for heartworms. We have started him on a slow kill heartworm treatment. Lucky is a sweet little dog. He weighs about 12 lbs and is crate trained. **NEEDS A FOSTER OR ADOPTIVE HOME**

Thanks so much for your comment. This particular posting for Animal Rescue & Relief was made in May of 2010. For up-to-date information about dogs available through this organization please visit their website: http://members.petfinder.com/~SC67/index.html. They were recently involved in rescuing the animals from the Williamsburg case and have many animals that currently need homes.
