I used to love to take my pups to Myrtle Beach in the off season. A couple of hotels (a few yrs ago) were pretty dog friendly in Sept/Oct. I'd like to take my girl on vacation somewhere in SC/NC/GA just for fun...looking for suggestions!

I've heard of a place in the NC mountains where there are dog-friendly cabins and a large fenced area in which they can run. http://www.barkwells.com/ maybe?

Camp Unleashed!! It's fantastic. Vacation with your dog off leash. Great workshops, agility, dock diving, frisbee, yoga, nutrition, great food for the people. 3 weekends a year. 2 in Massachusetts Berkshires and one in North Carolina. www.campunleashed.com

Abby loves going up to Hickory Island in the 1000 Islands, its like summer camp for dogs. Last summer she brought her two friends Lincoln and Jessie. They ran, swam and hiked trails for 5 days straight. They were so tired they slept for the 2 day car ride home.

We used to live on Sullivan's and now reside in St. Augustine, FL. I travel everywhere with Chloe - my lab/border collie rescue. She's probably been to more states than most people - even been on two planes. And especially being in the South - loves the opportunity to be out on the water where ever we go.
