Who Runs LCGRR?

What Geographical Area Does LCGRR Help?

LCGRR is located in Charleston, SC and operates mainly in the Low Country of South Carolina and Southeastern Georgia as well as helping our sister North Carolina rescues when and where we can.

Are My Contributions Tax Deductible?

LCGRR is a 501(c)(3) organization and as such, contributions are tax deductible as charitable contributions.

When Was LCGRR Established?

LCGRR was established in 1991 and was approved as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2001.

What Happens to Rescued Goldens?

A Golden who is rescued is first cared for medically. While any necessary medical treatments are being provided, a foster home is selected for the dog. While in foster care, the Golden is evaluated to determine how the dog interacts with people and other animals. Once any medical problems are addressed and the evaluation made, the Golden is available for adoption.

What is the Cost for an Adoption?

The current adoption fee of $225 includes the microchipping and the national registry of the golden. Special fee consideration is made for golden mixes and seniors. This donation helps offset our medical costs which average over $430 per golden rescued. Our annual budget for the care and fostering and health of our goldens amounts to about $60,000 annually.
